10 months until the race ! with that, here is a little update on fundraising:
10 months seems like so much time, and yet i feel like each month creeps up on me and somehow 2019 is about to end !
my donors have blown me out of the water the past month or so. i originally had a goal of $5,000 for the end of the year, and by the grace of God i have already exceeded that goal by a thousand more! this generosity has called me to raise my goal for the end of the year to being HALF WAY funded ! that seems scary, but truthfully this only means raising about $1,900 more.
if i am being honest, goals actually scare me. not in regular life, but in all things “world race.” planning out my fundraisers and setting fund goals for each month makes things so real, and i have to fully rely on God to provide each and every time!
all of this preparation has led me into a very confusing season of life. i am preparing in all sorts of ways for my next steps, and yet i have a whole life to live right in front of me. it’s senior year and i’m experiencing so many “lasts.” things are beginning, and things are ending.
i really have no idea what God is trying to teach me in this season, but i know they are good things and i pray for God to reveal these lessons in His time !
ALSO: i go to an open house for the world race in georgia next weekend! i will be meeting several of my squadmates as well as some staff over in gainesville! my mom and i will be learning so much about the ministry and what the next 9 months after high school will look like ! please be praying over this visit, travels, and the friendships that will truly begin !
i will write a blog after this open house to give y’all some updates and new information ! if you feel called, please consider donating towards the most incredible opportunity ever, lets make Jesus known ! message me with any and all questions and i would love to talk to you !
and in the month of thankfulness, remember to think of all you blessings each day and give thanks to the Lord !
