hey friends!
it’s been a while since my last blog post and the Lord has been working in my heart quite a bit since then. transitioning off the field and back into the states was HARD & GOOD! felt waves of grieve and sadness but also celebration and excitement. in a way the race is over, yes, but also i feel the stories and connections drifting with me into this new season. there is more to learn&glean from those past 9 months.
home was a collection of sweet days and restful moments. even when hard things came i can only describe it with the kindness of Jesus. i learned to grasp the Word and cling to it tightly. even when the enemy wanted to attack i had learned to fight back harder, and to allow victory to have it’s reign in my life.
and now, yet again, i find myself in the almost-Fall months of Gainesville, Georgia.
in my last blog post i announced that for this semester i would be stepping into leadership with adventures in missions, under world race gap year. this is now reality! i’m back again, experiencing tent life with a new squad and team.
the first couple weeks looked like training alongside my leadership team and the rest of gap year staff/leaders. we received some deep truth & wisdom and are now ready to pour out with the anointing the Lord has given us for this space.
for the next 3 months i have the honor of watching people come alive with the Spirit and step into true freedom. i hope to continue to invite you into the journey, to truly share the testimony of what is happening in this place, as well as Louisiana and Costa Rica.
here’s a few fun updates and things i’d love to invite you into:
gap i has been rerouted to Costa Rica! due to covid regulations and continued political unrest AIM decided it best for our first country to be in Central America, rather than Africa. this is a country near to my heart, as the first country from my race last year. i’ll be spending about a month with the racers here for ministry (more updates to come).
in october my squad will be travelling to New Orleans, Lousiana for two weeks of domestic outreach alongside Samaritan’s Purse for hurricane relief. Hurricane Ida has left many homes flooded and left in ruin so we are excited to apply our training and reach as many people as possible.
my team!!!! i am writing a blog super soon to show you the beautiful faces of the 5 women i get to lead over the nest 3 months. already i am learning new depths to beauty and fun with them. if you would, pray for them by name as they enter a new season with the Lord – adalie, grace, abby, maggie, mackenzie.
i am still fundraising!! there is currently a little over $800 until i’m fully funded! if you want to join me in the calling the Lord has placed on my life the donation button at the top is the best way to give!!
for now, that’s a snippet of my life and what’s been happening. soon , you’ll see the faces of my team and hear the stories of what God is doing. reach out – i’d love to connect with you and hear how your heart is!!
