31 people. 6 teams.

If you’ve been reading, then you know that there are some WARRIORS for the kingdom who make up my squad, Gap D. So far, I’ve been able to share the amazing faces of Shathal, Kenosis, and leadership.

Next up we have Team Agape.

Agape.

Love that is unconcerned with the self and concerned with the greatest good of others. Not born of emotion or feeling or familiarity or attraction. It requires faith and commitment and sacrifice.

Team Agape. Led by Cassi Davis for the first three months of the race, and currently under the leadership of Jewel Macauley. These are women who know how to have fun. They celebrate and laugh and bring joy to this squad. I have a special place in my heart for this group of ladies. The world ain’t ready for them!

Each of these girls bring something different to the table. They bring life into every space

“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” 1 John 4:16

Becca Engstrom // Rhode Island

Earnest. Grace. Seeker.

“A woman of strength. I’ve never met anyone more hungry for the word. She will sit with you and listen to you talk for hours, even when it’s the same thing you told her yesterday. She leave the 99 for the 1 and that is rare. She makes the hard times better and being not only her friend, but her sister, is one of the greatest blessings in this season. Ask us how we became friends… its a funny story.”

Cat Ricker // Texas

Dreamer. Warmth. Stillness.

“Cat is one of the coolest people you’ll meet. She has so much talent between her singing and her painting skills. She radiates so much beauty on the outside but also within. I’ve seen her push through even when it was really hard, she is strong and deserves only the best. I just really love her a lot and am grateful to call her my sister.”

Chloe MacMillian // Chicago, Illinois

Service. Intentionality. Persistence.

“I think if you ask anyone on the squad one word to describe Chloe, they would immediately say joy. She’s always smiling and is always there to give you a hug or encourage you. Chloe is also one of the most selfless people I know. She’s the first to volunteer to do dishes and help anywhere it’s needed. She loves really hard and I’m lucky to call her a sister and friend.”

Hailey Smith // Gastonia, North Carolina

Celebration. Rejoice. Raw.

“Wow Hailey, Hailey, Hailey!! I really love you a lot, like a lot… you radiate the Lord through leading the squad in joy and compassion. You continually support others as they face trials, through being a person who can listen and always providing loving encouragement. Only God knows how many joyful moments and breakdowns we have been through together, and in that you always remind me to take the Lord’s hand before I walk. You love in a way that automatically fills up any space you enter. You love in a way that I will think of years from now and all I’ll be able to do is smile. You love in a way that is filled by and with the Lord. Wow, I thank the Lord daily for Hailey Smith. :)”

Libby Stipp-puffer // Texas

Rooted. Willing. Genuine.

“Libby (aka Bill) is Agape’s team leader! She loves us all so well and intentionally. Bill has the biggest heart to serve and take care of others. She is also the funniest person ever and can make you laugh until you pee. We love our Texan, coke-loving, sister.”

“Oh this group of women! They truly are their name. They love like the Father incredibly well. They bring people in and treat them as if they’ve been their best friend or family for years. They are wild, free, and unapologetically themselves. I am beyond blessed to know them. They make me feel comfortable in who I am, seen, loved, and oh do I love them so much. The Lord is felt in this team, in their sadness and in their joy. They have touched my life in ways I cannot express.”
