The World Race will change things for you.
It opens a space for heart change. For healing. For growth.
Are you ready for it?
Your identity to be shaken. And built back up on a firm foundation.
You’ll build relationships that are unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.
Community will be really hard.
Community will be really rewarding.
The FUNNIEST things will happen to you.
Lives will be transformed right in front of you.
You’ll question yourself.
You’ll question others.
You’ll question God.
Nothing will make sense but at the same time everything will fall together.
People back at home won’t understand, but eventually some of them will grasp it.
Stories will be shared with you, and they’ll be hard to hold.
Your faith will come together in WORDS you can share with others.
Maybe for the first time ever the word “daughter” or “son” will make sense.
Gainesville, Georgia will be your favorite place, even when it hurts.
You’ll miss your family sometimes. Or maybe all the time.
The Lord will call you to bigger things after. It won’t stop here.
Your team will struggle to communicate.
Your team will CELEBRATE you.
Your team will love you.
That one person on the squad will say something that changes everything.
Suddenly you’ll know what you’re passionate about.
Something inside of you will unlock.
And you’ll unlock that in other people too.
God will change things.
Are you ready for it?
Then again, will we ever be ready for it?
For Gap D, this journey has changed so much for us. We’ve been able to see a clearer picture of what heaven on earth really is. It’s tangible. It’s right in front of us.
We’ve found our passions and love for life. We’ve run into chains and into freedoms. We’ve healed from past wounds and asked God the hard questions. Our Church. Our Squad. We are different now.
“The race has brought me so much closer to my family and i didn’t expect that. Its helped each of us learn who we are on our own, since we’ve been separated. The times we can talk are so genuine and we’ve grown closer. They bring so much into my life and now I realize that.” :: Brooklyn Dilley
“God has used the race to redeem so much for me. It’s something He spoke over me at the beginning of the year, and has proved over and over again. He redeemed Christian community for me. He redeemed art for me. He redeemed worship. And relationships back home. And so much more. My life looks different now than it did before I left. I’m so different now. And I’m so thankful for that.” :: Kenzie Tkach
“I’ve learned to embrace hard seasons. That is where the Lord can show you a lot of growth. Learning to accept that you have things you need to walk through that won’t be easy, but He is in it so it is always worth it.” :: Chloe MacMillin
